ABOUT CC

I grew up in the Roman Catholic faith, and from an early age I had a deep sense that God was real. At the age of seven, I experienced a childhood trauma that left lasting wounds and led to years of fear and anxiety.
Later in life, my family experienced a heartbreaking loss when my brother died by suicide at the age of twenty-five. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of grief, loss, anxiety, and the kind of pain that often remains hidden beneath the surface.
Through every season, my faith became an anchor. Music gave me a place to process my emotions, express my heart, and find hope. I was also blessed with people who loved and supported me, especially an aunt and grandmother whose quiet faith and encouragement helped shape the person I am today.
These life experiences have inspired my songwriting. My songs explore themes of hope, healing, resilience, love, and grace, reflecting both life's struggles and its beauty. My hope is that when people listen, they feel encouraged, understood, and reminded that even in life's hardest moments, there is always hope for a new beginning.
PROFESSIONAL MUSIC BIO
CC Harvey is a Northern Ontario singer-songwriter, recording artist, best-selling author, and creative storyteller whose music is rooted in authenticity, faith, healing, and the shared experiences of everyday life.
Her songwriting journey began at the age of 16 when her father surprised her with a gift of a guitar. Since then, she has spent more than two decades crafting music that blends heartfelt storytelling with elements of folk, country, pop, inspirational, and Con- temporary Christian music. Through honest lyrics and memorable melodies, CC creates songs that reflect the experiences, emotions, and moments that connect us all.
Her recording career began in 1997 when her original song, Wings of Gold, was featured on the compilation album Airwaves, His World…His Music, produced in Timmins, Ontario. In 2000, she released her debut country EP, Straight from Your Heart, a five-song project produced, arranged, mixed, and mastered by Rick Ash of Rick Ash Music Studio in Lambeth, Ontario. The project received airplay on more than 11 country radio stations across Canada and helped establish her as an emerging singer-songwriter.
Shortly afterward, CC stepped away from the music industry for several years as she navigated significant health challenges. Although the season required her to pause her recording career, it also deepened her faith, strengthened her resilience, and profoundly influenced the songs she would later write.
In 2016, she returned to music with renewed purpose, releasing Let It Rain, a Contemporary Christian album produced by Jeff Nelson of Jeff Nelson Productions in Nashville, Tennessee. The project marked not only her return to recording but also the beginning of a new chapter shaped by hope, healing, and personal transformation.
She continued her musical journey with When Money Flies Out! in 2017, collaborating with Tim Schwindt of River music Productions in London, Ontario. In 2020, she released Arise, produced, arranged, mixed, and mastered by award-winning film composer Rick Ballantyne of Los Angeles, California. The music on this Contemporary Christian album was composed by CC Harvey and songs co-written with Laurie St Denis. During this season of her career, CC also recorded French-language songs, including Comme l'Oxygène and C'est Qui Toi, which received airplay in Europe and further expanded the reach of her music.
Over the years, CC's music and songwriting have earned recognition from the Canadian Gospel Music Association, including a nomination for Rock Song of the Year for the song Will Overcome in 2021, and recognition as a co-writer and music composer for Indigenous Song of the Year for the song This is the Battle Cry. She also received additional 2023 nominations for Pop Artist of the Year Award and nominated for the Artist(e) Francophone de l’année Award.
Her newest self-titled Country/Pop/Folk album, CC Harvey, represents her fifth recording project and marks the culmination of more than two and a half years of songwriting, musical composition, and creative development. Every song on the album was written and composed by CC Harvey, drawing from deeply personal experiences of faith, healing, grief, family, resilience, and hope.
Beyond the stage, CC is the bestselling author of Always Never Alone: A Journey with the Holy Spirit and founder of CC Harvey Ministries. Her passion for encouraging others is woven into everything she creates, whether through music, writing, or speaking.
Experiencing CC Harvey live is more than attending a concert—it's sharing in a collection of stories set to music. Her warm vocals, engaging personality, and genuine connection with audiences make every performance a memorable journey that celebrates hope, resilience, and the power of a great song.
